The Shelborne South Beach Hotel is dedicated to providing exceptional service to all of our guests, including individuals with disabilities. With respect to our websites, we strive to provide digital content that is accessible to all users. We base our website accessibility standards on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, level A + AA success criteria. In addition, we actively work to maintain, assess and improve the usability and accessibility of our websites, including through training of our personnel, engagement of experts and regular testing of our digital accessibility.

Property Features
Accessible public entrance with door width of 72”. The entrance can be accessed via ramp located at the front of the property.
Accessible registration desk. The registration desk is 48” high. It has an accessible surface and space to hand materials back and forth to guests who use wheelchairs.
Accessible route from the public entrance and rooms to the registration area. The public entrance can be accessed via ramp located at the front of the property.
Accessible elevator with braille instructions. Height of the highest button in the elevator is 48”.

Accessible emergency exit with door width of 72”. From the main entrance, the emergency exit is located at the Breezeway that connects the corridor of the Drawing Room Bar to the pool area and Shelborne Cafe. There is an emergency exit on the east end of the property located at the Oasis Garden Area. This exit leads directly to the beach. Our 18th street entrance and exit is ADA accessible as it is our loading dock entrance, however it is equipped with a ramp.
Accessible public restroom. The accessible restrooms are located immediately east of the front desk reception area between the main lobby and Drawing Room bar, on our Mezzanine Level (2nd Floor) accessible by elevator and outdoors located through the breezeway area adjacent to our pool deck.
Accessible concierge desk. The concierge desk is located at the front of the lobby. It can be accessed by entering the public, accessible entrance.
All parking is valet only. The property does not have on-site parking facilities. However, there are ADA public parking spaces available 24/7, located along 18th street and east of Collins Avenue. The ADA parking decal is required and there is no charge to park in these designated ADA public spaces. Disclosure: The Shelborne Hotel is not responsible for any damages or missing personal belongings if the guest chooses to park along the 18th street public spaces.
Space to accommodate accessible vehicles.
TTY for guest use. It is only available upon request. The TTY device is located behind the front desk at all times. There are no devices located inside our ADA rooms.

- Guest room televisions have closed captioning.
- Braille signage.
- Service animals are welcome at the Shelborne South Beach Hotel.
Hotel Amenities:
The Shelborne Caffe, Root & Bone, the Oasis, and the Drawing Room all have entrances of 72” or wider. Root & Bone and Drawing Room can be accessed by the ramp located at the front entrance. The Shelborne Caffe and the Oasis, can be accessed by either the front or rear ramp.
Accessible route to all food and beverage outlets from the public entrance and rooms via ramp or elevator.
Accessible business center. The business center is located in the lobby of the hotel and can be accessed from the public entrance and ramp.
Fitness center has door width of 36”.
Accessible route to exercise facilities from the public entrance and rooms via West Tower elevators.
Accessible pool and jacuzzi; both with chair lifts.
Pool access has door width of 72”. Sky Terrace entrance to pool from mezzanine has door width of 72”.
Accessible Meeting and Event Facilities:
The Continental & Rambler space has an accessible entrance with door width of 96”; the ballroom, 72”; and the boardroom, 72”. The Continental, Rambler and Boardroom are located on the 2nd floor and can be accessed by elevator. The ballroom is located on the first floor and can be accessed by the main entrance and ramp.
Accessible route to all meeting and event facilities from the public entrance and rooms. Our reception venues vary across the property. All venue areas are accessible and can be accessed via ramp or elevator located at the front and rear of the property.
